ORGANIC ORANGE, LEMON AND CARROT

In Italy, carrot production comes to about 500 thousand tons; Abruzzo counts for 21%. In this region, those grown on the Fucino plateau are particularly renowned, being perfectly smooth, an orange-red colour, crunchy and sweet. The carrot is a vegetable rich in flavour and contains substances that help keep our body in shape. Its characteristic colour is due to the high beta carotene (Vitamin A) content; it also has diuretic and hepatic properties, and it acts as a bowel regulator. The orange is the quintessential winter fruit. An excellent source of vitamin C, it reinforces the immune system against viruses and bacteria; it prevents cardiovascular problems and combats free radicals. The vitamin C also enables our body to absorb iron more effectively, having anti anaemic properties. Organic italian lemons, completely natural, are very sweet and fragranced: the colours are vibrant and the properties are healthy. This citrus fruit is rich in vitamin C, vitamin B, phosphorus, protein and carbohydrates. It contains flavonoids which in turn contain antioxidant elements and anti-cancer properties.
