The age of the vineyards from which the Chardonnay of Borgo Magredo is produced is around 20 to 25 years. Raised with Guyot, they produce about 68 quintals of grapes per hectare. Each grape is loaded with the unique minerality of the gravel soils of the Grave del Friuli.
Chardonnay is one of the first vines to be harvested: the stalks are removed from the bunches, the grapes are pressed and left to crystallize at a controlled temperature for a few hours. Then the alcoholic fermentation is carried out in steel tanks, after which the wine rests on the yeasts for about 4 months before being bottled.
The wine presents itself with a pale straw yellow color, with pale green reflections. The nose is intense and elegant, with notes of wild flowers and ripe fruit, white peach and apple. On the palate it is elegant, full-bodied and harmonious, recalling the golden apple and the hazelnut on the palate.
Serve at a temperature around 10 ° -12 ° C, in large glasses.
