Recioto della Valpolicella Valpantena DOCG

It takes its name from the ear shape of the Corvina grapes, “recia” in Veneto. A sumptuous, full, ancient passito wine. Legend has it that he is the father of Amarone; in fact, it is said that towards the end of the 1930s, a cellarman forgot a barrel of Recioto in his cellar. When he tasted it, what must have been a sweet Recioto had turned into a bitter dry wine: Amarone.
