ORGANIC ORANGE AND APPLE
Since the second half of the 1800s, oranges have marked the characteristic Sicilian countryside, where a range of different varieties are grown. Oranges are an important source of vitamins: particularly C and A, as well as a large part of group B vitamins (particularly Thiamine, Riboflavin, in addition to vitamin PP, or Niacin). They boast a high level of bioflavonoids, very important substances especially for producing collagen in connective tissue. The apple is the symbolic fruit of health. It is made up of about 85% water and between 9% and 12% sugars. It contains vitamins A,B1,B2,C and PP, organic acids, mineral salts and trace elements such as calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus. It naturally contains pectin, which helps to lower the level of cholesterol in the blood.
