TORRE ROSAZZA
Friulano
Wine Friuli Colli Orientali DOC
The enological emblem of the region, Friulano is the most widespread native wine in all of Friuli. Full and robust on the palate, it maintains an excellent balance between freshness and softness and is enhanced by a mineral nuance that makes it particularly intriguing.
Grapes: Tocai Friulano 100%
Origin: Oleis di Manzano, own vineyards
Type of soil: Eocene Marne
Altitude: 130 - 170 m s.l.m.
Training method: Guyot
Density of plant: 4,500 vines per hectare
Grape yield: about 60 quintals per hectare
Vinification: the de-stemmed grapes are softly pressed and cryo-macerated. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel, at a constant temperature of 16 ° C. The wine remains on the lees for about four months and after bottling is aged in the bottle for at least two months.
The Wine: The color is bright yellow of medium intensity, crystalline in the glass. It has clear and defined aromas among which we find wild flowers, mulberry and pear. In the mouth it is compact and vibrant, easy to approach and pleasant. Of good structure and persistence, it reveals a pleasant mineral note that gives sapidity to the closure.
Serving suggestions: Served often in Friuli as an aperitif, it goes very well with the typical cold cuts of the region, in particular with San Daniele ham. It also pleasantly accompanies fresh and gras-si cheeses, omelettes with herbs, tasty risottos and fish dishes. Traditional pairing with eggs and asparagus.
