Friuli Grave DOC Cabernet Sauvignon wine

Designation of origin

Red wine par excellence, extremely elegant and capable of giving life to wines of great complexity, longevity and value. Particularly rich in tannins and aromatic substances, in the gravel soils of the Grave del Friuli it acquires an excellent concentration and intensity.

ORIGIN: Tauriano di Spilimbergo, from the vineyards of Borgo Magredo

SOIL TYPE: Gravel, pebbly

ETA DELLE VIGNE: 25-30 years

PRODUCTION PER HA .: 65 quintals per hectare

TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot

VINIFICATION: after the harvest the grapes are de-stemmed and placed in special wine-makers, where they remain for 6 days and are subjected to frequent pumping over. The wine completes the malolactic fermentation and then part of the mass is placed in second passage barriques to fix the intense color and allow longevity to the wine.

COLOR: Intense ruby ​​red

AROMA: Marked hints of small red berries and in the end an intriguing note of vanilla and liquorice.

TASTE: Full-bodied with soft and silky tannins. The taste is warm and enveloping, characterized by a pleasant note of ripe fruit.

SERVICE: Serve at a temperature around 18 ° C, in large glasses.

COMBINATIONS: Excellent with first courses with meat sauces and braised meats.
